UAN Activation & Aadhaar Seeding for ELI Scheme Benefits

As per the circular dated 22nd November 2024 from the Ministry of Labour & Employment, all employees must activate their Universal Account Number (UAN) and link their bank accounts with Aadhaar to unlock the benefits of the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme introduced in the Union Budget 2024-25.

- Deadline: Complete UAN activation and Aadhaar seeding for all employees who joined this financial year by 30th November 2024.
- How to Activate: Employees can easily activate their UAN and link it with Aadhaar via the EPFO Member Portal using an Aadhaar-based OTP.

This step is crucial for employees to access EPFO services, view PF passbooks, make online claims, and receive benefits directly through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

What’s New in EPFO Reforms (2025) 1. Simplified Partial Withdrawal System - Earlier: 13 separate withdrawal types. - Now: Merged into 3 simple categories — faster and easier processing. 2. Shorter Partial Withdrawal Eligibility Period - Earlier: Minimum service period for withdrawal was up to 7 years. - Now: Only 1 year of service required for all withdrawal types. 3.
